What Impact Will a Crusade Have?
On the Lost

Anyone who has encountered the saving grace of Jesus Christ knows first hand the impact that can have on a person's life. Since the first crusade, GO TELL Crusades has seen tens of thousands make public decisions for Jesus Christ. Each recorded decision is turned over to each participating church for continued follow up and discipleship.

On the Christian

Christians are given several areas of service to choose from -- ushers, counselors, prayer warriors, youth workers, arrangements workers, and many others. The GO TELL Crusade staff provides training in many of these areas. One's faith is encouraged and ignited as the work and promotion begin several months before the event. Many are challenged to become participants rather than just spectators. Experience has shown that most of the lost who attend the crusade are invited by a Christian acquaintance.

On the Church Body

One of the goals of the cursade is to strenghten the base of the local church as a steadfast body of believers proclaiming the Word of God. Because of its magnitude, the crusade effort will have great impact on the participating churches. Members are trained and challenged to boldly and effectively share their faith. Many committee volunteers will continue ministering within their church long after the crusade is over. Most know they should be more active in their church, but they procrastinate. The crusade is often the catalyst to spur these people into action. The crusade only occurs on certain dates, prompting urgency. Some pastors have noticed a growing interest in spiritual matters, church activity, enthusiasm, attendance, and in some cases, even in financial giving during and after the crusade.

On the Christian Community

One of the greatest impacts on the Christian community is the unity and cooperation that develops as different denominations come together with one purpose in mine - to win their community to Christ. Many have commented on how wonderful it is to sit in the crusade setting and experience the joy of being in the presence of thousands of other believers, praising God in worship and service to Him. We have seen many churches continue to cooperate and work together on projects long after the crusade has ended.

On the Community At-Large

Since the crusade process occurs over the course of several months, the awareness, excitement, and enthusiasm build as the event draws near with anticipation. Those outside of the "church community" become aware of the event through advertising, talk around town, invitations from Christians, promotional materials, etc. Along with the excitement is curiosity of just what the crusade is all about, often priming those in the community for an invitation. After the crusade, the comunity is abuzz with the after effects and talk of the crusade's impact upon the people. We often see secular newspaper articles praising the crusade's effect in the community. When thousands of Christians come together in unity to impact their community, the world takes notice!
